Upton Estate

WOODLAND

Upton has over 300 acres of woodland that is carefully managed to help benefit wildlife and protect and strengthen the local landscape. The 300 year old Spanish chestnuts planted in the park have been left standing, and act as hosts to a multitude of insect species. Recently the introduction of biomass boilers on the Estate have given a new role for the woodland as a renewable source of energy for the commercial and residential properties.
