Upton Estate

Farming remains the principal activity on the Estate. We farm around 1,000 acres of arable land, running from light ironstone brash at the Banbury end to heavy Warwickshire clay below the Edgehill escarpment (scene of the 1642 civil war battle). We grow wheat, barley, oats, oilseed rape and linseed, with all crops grown in accordance with the latest conservation and stewardship principals.

We also have sheep and cattle grazing on the extensive grassland, that covers the many steep banks as well as the historic parkland at Upton.
